Forbes Pins Fully-Fledged Fall Badge of Approval on 2024 Chevy Trax for Sleek and Upscale Look, Welcoming Cabin Design

A few different articles passed across our content writer’s desk this week here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis that claimed that the era of the subcompact crossover “may be waning a bit” in the US market. With highly desirable and feature-rich options such as the 2024 Chevy Trax, we really could not firmly disagree more! The auto review staff took a close-up look this week on their blog, and began by stating that in a post-growth spurt market, it remains as reigning supreme and absolutely most affordable model in our lineup.

The combination of the revamped proportions and design provides the new Trax with a much more stylish and upscale look than the outgoing model. The face now offers up a look much like the current Blazer and Trailblazer, sporting slimmer horizontal running lamps up high, and corner-mounted headlamp clusters underneath. The crease that runs from the front wheel arch and ends up in the side glass is reminiscent of the original Honda HR-V, with the rear displaying some of the aggressive and sporty bits that made the Blazer EV so awesome.

When the Spark and Trax were first introduced, they had a touchscreen inside, but used a connected phone to offer up features that help on the go like navigation. The new Trax has seen a large update featuring support for the wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay on the standard 8-inch and optional 11-inch center screens, and the angling of the center screen toward the driver feels like the perfect finishing touch to be properly poised for the drive.

Overall length has been extended by 11 inches, including 6 inches more wheelbase, ultimately offering more sprawl-out room along with cargo space. The roofline has been dropped by 4 inches, so the seating position doesn’t feel as upright and pressing as before, and the power source is the same 1.2-liter turbocharged 2-cylinder that is found in the Trailblazer. Each trim level offers up the ultimate high-tech safety derived from a full suite of camera-based driver assistance including Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Following Distance Indicator.

The adjusted size, attractive interior design, and low price are the factors that Consumer Reports were most excited about. They also speculated that they were certain the reliability pitfalls that affect many other current models were not going to plague the Trax, and that those who don’t need all-wheel drive are going to have heaps to be optimistic about. The LS and 1RS trims are equipped with an 8-inch center infotainment screen, with the 11-inch option available on higher trim levels along with a digital display behind the steering wheel.

The current market has offered up so many models that are amazing at what they do: the 2024 Trax is the ultimate means of serving up the essentials that are needed by many along with the extras that solidify its clout and excitingly winning appeal!
