2021 Chevy Trax Finishes High in the Ranks For Appearance, Comfort, and Easy on the Wallet Factors

Flaunting a style with just the right hints of aggression and peppy performance that is ideal for city driving, the 2021 Chevy Trax is also one of the most economical crossover SUVs on the market. As the holidays are soon approaching, many in our circle of friends and family here at Jim Butler Chevy of St Louis are pondering the possibility of a brand-new model under their Christmas tree, and the Trax is one that has the appeal and is also incredibly low on price!

The compact build of the Trax makes for easy parking in a pinch, and it is simple to maneuver through the congested hours when everyone is trying to get home at once. Three special editions are offered with the choice of Midnight, Sport, and Redline. Midnight sees a unique Mosaic Black Metallic color and 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, black Bowtie emblems, and black skid plates. The Sport Edition is similarly blacked out minus the special exterior paint color, and the Redline Edition boasts a black grille and mirror caps, 18-inch black wheels with red accent stripes, and a black badge with a red outline.

Inside you’ll find 8 different seating configurations with room for up to 5, and 48.4 cubic feet of cargo volume with the back seat down. Expectations have risen for many when it comes to how comfortable they are on long drives, and a simple interior no longer is adequate in the eyes of the competition as well as the everyday consumer. Upgrading to the Premium Seat Package allows for a more premium feel, with heated front seats as well as leather seat trim for extra comfort during the drive.

The EPA fuel rating for the 2021 Trax is 31 miles per gallon, with the front-wheel-drive version keeping the constant need to refuel at a minimum. The current state of safety offerings in the automotive world is enthralling for anyone fascinated by technology and is ultimately paving the road ahead for the inevitable arrival of self-driving options. The Trax is built with a high-strength steel safety cage and 10 standard airbags on board, as well as a Rear Vision Camera.

Side Blind Zone Alert is especially useful: it uses hidden radar sensors in the rear corners of the crossover to detect moving vehicles in the next lane over. A yellow warning symbol lights up on the side-view mirror on the side where the system detected movement. SiriusXM Radio is now enjoyed as standard on the LS model, and power is derived from the 1.4-liter LUV Ecotec Turbo 14 engine. Just like all first-generation models of the Trax, the 2021 model will still ride on the same GM Gamma II platform as the Buick Encore and Chevy Sonic. Anyone with a typically busy lifestyle demanding lots of drive time will benefit from the Trax’s available OnStar service, which provides automatic crash response and the very essential stolen vehicle indicator.
